Raipur-based Azure Interiors is known for creating spaces that thrive on an emotional connect with the people who use them. The designer duo behind Azure, Rashi Bothra and Ruchi Gehani, unveil a stunning lounge space that is as luxurious as it is moody.
Highly stylish, this lounge or the den, steeped in shades of chic grey, evokes awe and inspiration with its high-ceilinged space and large windows on either side. A towering shadow box shelving unit forms a gorgeous backdrop to the space. And an array of terracotta artifacts in a multitude of shapes, specially designed by Azure, and made by local artisans, adds a charming look.
The flooring in rough brown Kota stone accented with a highlighter with a pateena finish, and interlaid with wooden tiles further enhances the muted palette. The sloped ceiling has been done up using two materials – wood as a highlighter element, and the rest rendered as a textured surface.
The verdant views outside the windows offer a cool contrast to the sophisticated, neutral atmosphere brimming with raw energy inside. The lavish loungers add luxurious comfort to the den.
