Design Konstruct strives to continuously work practically and keep expanding in order to ensure that our projects result in absolute customer satisfaction and leave a long-lasting positive impact on the clients.
I believe in the power of Word of Mouth. I make sure my designs are innovative and out of the box. I also believe that the spaces that I create should not only look aesthetic but should also have functional and a practical use. Using minimal designs and enhancing the design by using the right theme makes the decor stand out. So, I let my Work Speak for Itself.
My theory is only to create exciting spaces that are timeless and authentic, but also never to repeat these creations. Introducing the latest trends while maintaining a sense of timeless style is also very essential. Staying on top of trends and knowing how to tastefully introduce them is one of the greatest creative skills for designers to master.
Misbah Kapadia, Founder and Curator of Design Konstruct
When and where did you graduate from in Architecture / Interior Designing?
I have a Diploma in Interior Designing from Mumbai University.
How did you get your first break?
When I was studying in college, I utilized my time from college and assisted a renowned South Bombay-based Interior Designer to whom my sister introduced me to. It was then that I realized that I can do more and more. I challenged myself to create and evolve with every new project and I continue to do so even today.
Any project that made you feel that you have arrived?
Designing and developing thoughts on paper and then seeing them come to life makes each and every project of mine very special to me. Ever since my first project till today I think. I spend a significant portion of my time at work planning and organizing details for a particular project.
What are the various projects in different categories you have done till date?
I am currently working on several hospitality, residential and other commercial spaces. The process of each project involves getting into the depth of the concept and most importantly reflecting the personality of the owner in the design. I have conceptualized the designs for some popular restaurants such as the Silver Beach Cafe in Bandra and Lokhandwala, Facing East, Madeira and Mime, Bougain Villa, Ooh Pitara, Hapaa Asian Stir in Pune, Liquor Embassy in Nashik, 1BHK Bangalore Shiv Sagar, Bangalore and more.
I have also designed homes and retail experiences. These include a beautiful home for artist Deepti Sadhwani and a 4bhk residence at Raheja Imperia as well as a retail offering for Ethnicity in Mumbai.
Any roadmap for reaching your goal post?
For me the key is to assess, adjust, and adapt as quickly as possible. Fieldwork can get tedious so to remain calm in every situation is vital. By going step by step- programming, doing design development and finally project administration, having balance and clarity of thought is very important. This overall roadmap helps us achieve success.
