“We love the fact that the kitchen space is evolving into such an important space for each household”, Ashok Basoya – Founder, Ottimo
What do you have to say about the evolving trends and technologies in the modular kitchen space?
We love the fact that the kitchen space is evolving into such an important space for each household. We truly believe that kitchens are one of the most essential parts of a house. The integration of technology into kitchen designs allows Interior Designers a lot more creative freedom. Furthermore, a modular kitchen layout allows for decluttering of the space easily along with providing it an extreme neat finish.
What new shifts have you observed in the kitchen spaces off recently?
People are definitely moving away from bright colours in the kitchen. Previously, people always opted for bright colours in the kitchen such as shades of white and beige. However, we can see people leaning towards darker colours now. For example: Aster’s Factory collection provides an extremely raw, edgy, dark look that’s been extremely popular lately. A two-toned kitchen brings out an extremely warm look which is something that has really been trending.
How have things changed design wise and technically in designing kitchens post pandemic?
Utility. Everyone has realised how important a clean and neat kitchen is post the pandemic. People of course want their kitchen to showcase nice designs thought out, but the most important thing is utility. There needs to be a well thought out design and rationale behind each element you add in the kitchen because you can never have enough space in your kitchen, no matter how big it is!
Coming years what new can we see in the modular kitchens or overall kitchen space? Your views
Layered lighting, glass partitions, increased use of natural elements are some changes that one will be able to see in the overall kitchen space.
What are the market restraints encountered by the company when it comes to new product launch and company expansion plans.
There is a huge number of companies selling a huge variety of products. This makes it a bit confusing for the client if they do not understand the difference in finishes and quality and just compare the prices.
