Q. How is the doors and windows market faring in this fiscal year & what’s the latest trend at the moment in terms of technological advancements & product innovations?
In March 2020 due to COVID the industry was affected as construction came to a halt and many migrant workers went back home. Gradually the scenario began to change in June and business started as usual.
At Lingel we believe in innovation and have come up with many new design & Product options for our customers. The Security solutions in glazing and hardware will ensure safety of the inmates of the house and these are burglar proof windows and doors. We developed further many new profiles and one complete new system Lingel TITANIUM and we are launching further before the end of the financial year our own new SLIM slider system in Aluminum and as a first industry mover in uPVC SLIM system as well.
Q. In India, the market is beginning to grow at rapid pace for uPVC windows and doors and biFold windows. So, what are the key factors fuelling the demand?
Considering that we are installing slide and fold doors since 2012 we proudly consider ourself as one of the industry pioneer in that field as well. I personally developed one unique flooring detail for outside as well as inside folding door. Especially for the outside folding doors our system keeps the rolling mechanism on top and assures with a just half an inch above the floor protection design, a standalone point in the industry .Due to this unique feature this design is even widely used for internal partitions as well. What makes a perfect design even better? Unique add ones, that way all our outside folding doors are having an hinge inbuilt pull handle which makes the operation just much more easy than any product produced by my industry friends.

- LPG 14 Lingel Panzer Glazing 14mm is a multilayer security glass

- The second option is Lingel Safety box 2 (LBS 2). It is Lingel’s highest point of locking security. RC2 and RC3 as per ENI627-30 it means that resistant glass to hardware.
