With her keen anti-minimal and passionately original approach to design, Neeta Kumar, furniture and interior designer, and founder of Inhabit, has charted her own unique path in the interior decor world. She has just unveiled an exquisite bedroom setting featuring bespoke furnishings.
The space required a complete redo to make it feel like “you own it and want to dwell in it.” This is a luxurious yet comfortable space, adding character while making it feel cozy and homey at the same time. Just like people’s attitudes, shapes can also determine character traits. The room features a herringbone patterned floor extending to the couch design, highlighter tiles to add that “oomph” factor, beasty bee personalized fabric and wallpaper, gold tinted lighting fixtures, bespoke furniture designs, deep yellow mustard color – warm yet it evoking an immediate sense of indulgence and affluence.
The bedroom exhibits bespoke furniture from Inhabit’s “Let it Bee” Series designed to raise awareness of their plight. It pays tribute to the bees and beauty of their hives through design. The furniture have sleek silhouettes and earthy tones, showcasing the brand’s trademark high quality carpentry and upholstery. The pieces are effortlessly magnificent and are a testament to Inhabit’s focus on crafting furniture in an environmentally sustainable manner.
“My vision was mindful sustainability, ergonomics and character, and to turn these into a source of design concept resulting in form, function, color and texture.” – Neeta Kumar
