Q) Company’s experience in India so far?
Lingel entered into Indian market in 2006 when the market was very nascent. With over 11 years in the Indian market we are present in over 21 cities. Our UPVC Doors and Windows are widely used in many cities instead of wooden doors. We have received a tremendous response and get many repeated orders because the quality of our products is superior and last over 3 decades.

Q) What makes Lingel India products different from other players in UPVC segment?
Our UPVC products are strong, sustainable and have a life span of over 3 decades. Many inferior quality products are being sold in the market due to lack of knowledge in fabrication and installation of UPVC Window has given disrepute to the industry. We get a mileage by giving proper information and support to our customers. We assure our customers of our service for the next 10 years after installing our products. This kind of long assured service is not provided by other players. This builds faith and is our strength. Our customers come back to us and we get lot of repeated orders.

Q) Almost 50% of windows and doors in Europe are made from UPVC. Keeping essential component of both the market in mind how big is the market opportunity in India?
Reaching a 50% market share is Europe was mainly achieved due to strong regulation on energy saving demands on windows.
Considering that 25% of the energy loss of the building is lost via the windows the European governments made strong demands on windows.
Considering the fact that cooling a building is even more costly than heating at building the demand on windows should be even higher for Indian building where air condition is used.
The current initiatives by the Indian government like the new Energy building code 2017 are already small steps into the right direction.
All those steps towards energy saving are going to increase the market of uPVC doors and windows.

Q) Core competencies of the firm?
We provide complete window solutions to our customers whatever their requirement we are able to provide it to them. We are the only uPVC Fabrication Company manufacturing 90 degree corner opening sliding doors. We also provide the following:

  • Security rid solutions.
  • Vast range of double shutter windows and doors,
  • We provide unique dust and noise reduction solution to our customers.
  • Inbuilt air purifiers affixed to our windows.

We are a step ahead in design, innovation and technologies. Our research and development of products are way ahead than the others.

Q) What role do you see for technology in design for UPVC products in coming days?
For us it is important to have the right system in place. The fenestration industry usually struggles because we have too many touch points with our customer and all are important.
Therefore our main focus runs on our human resource, because it’s the human and not the machine working with the customer.

Saying that yes, we have all machines imported from Germany and due to that the fabrication process is the ‘smallest part’ of our turn key service.
But our mean focus moves towards the customer/ consumer. From sales and marketing, architect visits, consultancy site measurements and installation is where we have developed our unique strength within the industry.
