Residence at Vile Parle
Located in Vile Parle, Mumbai, this 3 BHK apartment was designed for the family of three. One essential criterion for the team was to design the home with a distinct feel and soothing ambience. The project revolves around a clean base theme of white and splashes of colours, unique to each room and the taste of person occupying it. A lot of interesting eye-catching elements make this home an ideal space.
While you enter the apartment, the attractive main door is finished with lacquered veneer with ‘Corian’ inlay work and laser cut S.S. grill and a handle with the same geometrical pattern, gives a distinctive look.
The living space is simply splendour with Statuario Italian marble flooring, sleek furniture customized for the space and cove cuts in the false ceiling with indirect mood lighting. The wide UPVC windows are covered with Roman blinds and are accommodated by silver Travertine Italian marble wall cladding and pelmet. The addition of veneer panel in the ceiling makes the living room look richer. A creatively designed running curvature pattern of ‘Corian’ over lacquer finished veneer and cork wallpaper on LCD wall unit is another striking element in the living space.
Customized hanging dining table having a geometrical pattern with a laser cut ‘Corian’ top supported by S. S. pedestal gives a contemporary look to the dining area. The glass hanging light from lacquer finished veneer ceiling to wall panel complements the overall eclectic look of the dining space.
Moving towards the kitchen, it is an open with designer glass concealed in ‘Corian’ finished partition, acting as a visual barrier. The state-of-the-art yet clean line kitchen is fully functional with built-in oven, microwave, built-in hob and chimney from a trusted brand. The extensive use of beige colour composite Italian marble in flooring and wall cladding and use of quartz marble on kitchen platform add on the class. Beige and cappuccino brown back painted glass used on shutters and cabinets complement each other very well.
Each bedroom boasts of a style statement. The master bedroom has rich classy appeal with the use of back painted glass panelled wardrobe. A very creatively designed ‘Corian’ finished double bed having leather cushion back continue with leaf pattern laser cut headboard merged with a cove cut ceiling. Customised peacock blue coloured Diwan seating is enhanced by silver Travertine Italian marble and pale blue Roman blinds in the backdrop. Hanging ‘Corian’ shelf from lacquered veneer for LCD is complementing the decor.
The son’s bedroom is a reflection of his personality; classy yet bold. A uniquely designed boat shaped double bed finished with a fusion of ‘Corian’ and veneer, creates a contemporary feel. A headboard is designed delicately to go in flow with the bed but without losing any comfort or purpose of the headboard. A silver floral peach coloured wallpaper merges well with the head board; polished veneer and back painted glass add to the bold look, thin staggered shelves fixed on back painted glass for LCD gives a subtle yet rich look. The textured wooden flooring, adds warmth to the room.
The guest bedroom is simple and clean line yet rich in aesthetics by use of contrasting colours and materials. An alcove sitting area creates a cosy corner for relaxation with a niche to place romantic artifacts.
Toilets are very creatively and elegantly designed with separate dry and wet areas. Extensive use of Italian marble wall cladding merged well with highlighter wall tiles in shower cubicles; use of state-of-the-art Italian sanitary fittings and shower system adds to the maximum comfort. Backlit laser cut acrylic false ceiling in geometrical forms, adds an interesting element to the toilets.
